When past wedding clients of ours reached out to us and wanted to book an Adventure Couples session in Yosemite National Park, we said HECK YES! Yosemite Valley is very special to my husband and I because that is where we had our intimate wedding ceremony back in 2019. Since then, we have visited the park multiple times throughout the different seasons and couldn’t wait to capture other couples there! Fast forward to the first weekend in June 2022, we woke up before sunrise and drove into the park around 3:30 in the morning. Once we got to Tunnel View we hung out there for a bit, snapped some photos of them before it got super congested and then made our way through the Valley. Half way through their session, we all got hungry so we decided to take a coffee and breakfast break and eat at Curry Village. Once our bellies were full and we were energized with caffeine, we made our way to Big Oak Flat Road. Unfortunately, the sun never peaked out like our clients wanted so their session was super gloomy for the entire session but as a photographer, we didn’t mind at all!! Gloomy weather is just as beautiful as golden hour.
Tori and Aaron also brought along their cute dobermann, Otis, who loved our camera and then they started riding their long boards. Both of them enjoy long boarding together so we thought this would be a great activity for them to do for us to capture! We then ended the day making our way to Valley View, which is a wonderful location to get a great view of El Capitan and the valley floor river. The day was so perfect and we had such a great time with Tori and Aaron. We can’t wait to get back out there and capture more couples exploring Yosemite together!
